Public Domain Photos – Maculinea butterflies Colony sitting on a layer of wet sand
Species probably Maculinea rebeli, but it may be another species like nausithous, teleius or alcon / Large Blue (Phengaris arion, Maculinea arion, Glaucopsyche arion)
The main picture was taken with a Canon brand camera, model Canon EOS 500D on Sunday 24th June 2012 by the Emilian Robert Vicol photographer.
As basic settings, an exposure time of 1/320 (3.125ms ) was used with aperture f/11.0 and the ISO Speed of the camera was 640. Actual focal length of the lens was 218/1 (218mm) with 18-270mm lens model (range).
The actual file size is 863 KByte, resolution is 1338px on the horizontal and 1744px on the vertically and the original (or modified) file name is Maculinea-Blue-Butterflies-Colony_wet-Sand__IMG_3264_cr.jpg (media type is image/jpeg).
The photo original orientation was portret with an X Resolution DPI equal to 72/1 and Y-Resolution DPI equal to 72/1.
Other camera settings (and APEX value) were the lens aperture 458752/65536, status of flash equal with 16, shutter speed 548864/65536 and brightness value unknown.
Note: It looks like the current size of the image was changed, the original version had the 4752 x 3168 resolution but the original orientation of the photo remained the same.
